Greed and passion shape the history of mining. Greed for ores that has driven us into the mountains for many millennia. Wealth and power, but also the exploitation of nature and people are its consequences. We feel passion because mining has merged with the life, society and culture of the region. It is the driving force for inventions, the starting point of sciences, identity and traditions.

Go underground! The guided tour through the exhibition Treasures & Tragedies reveals the dark secrets of the miners from the Bronze Age to the 21st century.

Every 2nd Saturday of the month at 4 pm (except 4 May 2025)

FEES
Participation is free of charge. You only pay entry to the special exhibition.
