Barrier-free access
Access to our museum is barrier-free. Visitors with disabilities pay the reduced admission fee of € 4 (subject to presentation of a disability pass). An accompanying person will be admitted free of charge if the disability pass bears the corresponding mark. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome.
- 6 disabled parking spaces on the public car park “An der Johanniskirche” (corner of Bahnhofstraße and Augustusburger Straße), approx. 50 m from the smac

(unfortunately these spaces are of only limited suitability for
wheelchair users)

- Induction-loop system for hearing-impaired visitors at the ticket office and in the shop
- Portable induction loops in the lecture theatre
- Barrier-free toilet facilities in the foyer and on the 4th floor
- Five audio guides with voice-over function (suitable for hearing aids)

- Mobile and fixed seating available in the foyer and on all floors
- Folding
wheelchairs and rollators available to borrow
The company Tourismus Marketing Gesellschaft mbH Sachsen (TMGS) has carefully inspected the smac as regards barrier-free accessibility and has included it in its list of barrier-free leisure facilities.
